There are several taxi companies in Vancouver with taxis readily available at the airport and many downtown hotels. A taxi from the airport to downtown Vancouver is typically about $35.

Public Transit

Alternatively, you can take the above-ground monorail, called the Canada Line Skytrain, from the airport into the city of Vancouver. 1-Zone fares from the airport are $7.75 CAD. For more information visit: www.translink.bc.ca.

·        All Skytrains leaving the airport head towards “Waterfront Station”

·        Get off at the “Waterfront Station” and walk one block up Granville Street, make a left turn when you reached Hasting Street, the Delta Suite Vancouver Hotel is half way down the block on Hasting Street.

Climate

Vancouver enjoys mild weather in the fall with moderate temperatures that are tempered by sea breezes. The average low temperature in October is around 7 °C and the average high is 14 °C. Evenings, especially in the surrounding mountains, can be quite cool, so it’s best to pack a jacket and sweater for good measure.
