Speaker Series - How much can we actually charge?
1:00 PM, November 30, 2022
NOTE: Start time is 1pm ET.
After two years of drought, many of us have experienced a record summer. Demand went through the roof. With that increase in demand, a whole list of new challenges appeared.
But in all challenges, there is opportunity.
And in this case, the opportunity lies in growing our revenue by increasing our rate.
The only question remaining is: How much can we actually charge?
PRESENTED BY Christoph Hutter, Revenue Manager

1:00 - 2:00 pm ET
Working With Your Local DMO and Convention Centre to Educate Faculty on Conference Bidding
Featuring:
Kathy Nicolay, Toronto Leaders Circle,
Luc Charbonneau, Montreal Ambassadors Club,
Michael Drake, Vancouver MIND Partnership
Moderated by Robert McCreight, Destination Canada
In conference bidding, industry, academic and association leaders are valuable assets and our greatest advocates when it comes to passionately conveying the story of “why Canada”.
For this reason, Canadian destinations across the country have established formal programs – called “local ambassador programs” – that leverage the influence and expertise of their local thought leaders to bid on high-level conferences to their destination.
This session will take a deeper dive into how these programs work and how they collaborate with university faculty, with a focus on three ambassador programs: the Toronto Leader’s Circle, the Montreal Ambassador’s Club, and the Vancouver MIND Partnership.
