Presenter: Bradley Martin, Manager, Residence Desk Operations, Carleton University
In this session, we will discuss how we have developed our student staff training at the Residence Desk at Carleton University to prepare our team for summer operations. We will delve into how we have designed our training model with the Curricular Approach, and what different training strategies we use to ensure the training is as engaging and educational as possible. As part of this conversation, we will share ways that we empower our returning staff to be leaders during training to showcase themselves as resources and role models. We will also discuss the importance of assessment and the role that it plays in helping us design and reshape training for the future.

Presenter: Mara Lowery, Associate Director, Campus Services, Algonquin College and David Hall, Marketing Manager, Campus Services
Customer insights allow organizations to deliver a better experience. When your customers share feedback with you, they also expect you to listen, act and report back to them. Since implementing a formal in-house customer feedback program in 2014, Algonquin College Campus Services has received more than 100,000 survey responses. Through the lens of our experience and examples, learn how Algonquin College Campus Services developed and has maintained an in-house feedback program for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on feedback to drive continuous improvement. 

  • Identify some key metrics you could measure, and how to incorporate these into annual goal setting
  • Understand more about practices for survey development and execution to increase survey responses
  • Learn some methods for developing – or integrating -  a Customer Feedback Program on your campus

Ticket would be personal expense. Approx $30-40. Please identify in conference registration if you would like to attend.

 

 

Travel Bursary

CUCCOA Central Region is pleased to offer 2 bursaries to cover the cost of registration for members.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund less a $50 administration fee is 10 business days before the event.

If an attendee is unable to attend the Conference based on serious illness or death (of self or a family member), a full refund may be granted. Proof of illness may be requested by the Board of Directors. Requestors shall submit the request in writing to the CUCCOA Office within 15 days of the start of the event. No refund shall be granted for cancelled or missed flights and/or inclement weather.

Substitutions for person attending can be made up to 72 hours prior to event without charge.

CUCCOA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.
